Job Description

We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented medicine supervisor to manage the inventory, storage, and distribution of medications within our facility. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in pharmacy operations, a good understanding of drug regulations, and excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispensing of medications.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and handling of all drugs.
  • Maintain accurate medicine inventory and reorder stock as needed.
  • Monitor drug expiry dates and manage safe disposal of expired or damaged items.
  • Ensure compliance with local drug regulations and hospital policies.
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing prescriptions and maintaining patient medication records.
  • Train and supervise pharmacy assistants or storekeepers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and security of the medicine storage area.

 

Requirements:
  • A diploma or degree in pharmacy or related healthcare field.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or medical store (1–3 years preferred).
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical storage standards and drug classifications.
  • Familiarity with medical inventory software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and team coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage stock in emergencies.

 

Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of controlled substances regulations.
  • Experience in hospital or clinical settings.
  • Knowledge of emergency medicine management.
  • Basic training in first aid or medical terminology.
