Job Description

Martini & Co is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our hospitality team. The role involves preparing quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering an exceptional dining experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Requirements

Certificate III, Certificate IV, and Diploma
At least 1 year of experience as a Chef in Australia

Duties

Planned menus, estimated food and labour costs, and managed the ordering of food supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations at Martini & Co.
Monitored the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and presentation to maintain high standards.
Liaised with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff, and front-of-house team to address food preparation and service requirements.
Demonstrated cooking techniques and provided guidance on preparation methods to kitchen staff
Prepared and cooked a wide range of dishes in accordance with restaurant standards and customer expectations.
Ensured strict compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations within the kitchen.
Assisted in selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain consistent performance.
Managed food storage processes, including freezing and preserving ingredients to minimise waste and maintain quality.
